About AnkBodh

Built by a trader, for my own trading first.

I'm Yogesh Tiwari: a techie at heart, with finance in my blood. I spent over two decades designing investment products for global banks, my last role being Senior Vice President at BNY Mellon, while investing my own money alongside. AnkBodh is the tool I built because I needed it, and have used every trading day for two years.

If you give up on your dreams, what's left?

  1. Education

    Computers first, finance always

Studied computer applications, and never lost the pull of the markets. It is also where the name comes from: Ank (numbers) + Bodh (understanding).

    Master of Computer Applications
  2. Banking career

    Designing investment products

Managed and architected investment products for global banks, rising to Senior Vice President in my last role.

  3. Alongside

    Investing in two markets

Invested in Indian stocks and in the US, across NYSE stocks and the S&P 500, for more than twenty years. Today I manage my own portfolio: hedging, planning, and trading index options with my own money.

  4. The problem

Too many screens, too much noise

Every view meant stitching together spreadsheets, broker screens, charts, option chains and Greeks. Scattered data, mostly noise.

  5. Two years ago

    Building my own system

Still a techie at heart, I built my own system to show where the market is really positioned, and traded with it every day from my desktop.

  6. Now

    Opening it up

If it took me twenty years to piece this together, others are struggling too. The system is now the Market Sentiment & Structure Lab.

What I promise

Honest numbers, your own judgement.

  • Real data, no hindsight

Every reading comes from recorded market data, shown the way it looked at that minute.

  • Losses stay on the record

Every paper trade is kept, wins and losses alike, so you can learn from both.

  • Learning, never tips

AnkBodh teaches you to read the market yourself. It does not tell anyone what to buy or sell, and nothing here is investment advice.
